The first comprehensive mapping of social enterprises in the city took place in 2006/7 and was a collaboration between the Brighton and Hove Business Community Partnership and the University of Brighton. See also this on-line directory

3 How good co-operative thinking could fuel the growth of the social enterprise sector

This academic paper was prepared to justify an approach that envisions using the un-tapped resources of the public and private sectors to support the growth of social enterprises and improve their impact on the city. Established benefits include improved social impacts, business growth and improved access to innovation for all parties.

4 Economic Feasibility Study

A feasibility toolkit that shows how to create and sustain a framework to resource social enterprises through improved co-operative thinking, while offering clear benefits to a range of stakeholders and support agencies. This is currently under final review and will be shared when completed.
